Barrel extension is an unlockable equipment which can be used in one of three equipment slots available per Trooper. Once equipped it improves 
Aim by 10%, and increases range by 1. Handy to extend the reach of your close/mid-ranged weaponry and improve its precision. But virtually useless for snipers.
